Better Late Than Never [FLTH-006] is the debut album from Filthy Records & Tapes co-founder DJKTF.

DJKTF is a lot of things. He’s a DJ, a beatmaker, a producer, a multi-instrumentalist, a father, a husband, a mechanic, a lawyer - the list goes on. Put simply, he’s a human Swiss Army Knife, and an experienced one at that. As a musician of 30+ years, his sound is the culmination of his experience as a student of music.

KTF’s sound is unique to him. Often times, he’s chopping up songs and ideas he’s made as a one-man-band. There’s a dreamy, lo-fi quality to KTF’s sound, but with heavy overtones of soul and funk that are just undeniable. They coalesce in a way that feels totally natural and unforced, speaking to KTF’s influences and tastes without ever being obvious where he pulls from.

“Better Late Than Never” oozes KTF’s signature sound and flavor and serves as a breath of fresh air in the lo-fi beats and instrumental hip-hop space.
